How To Go Bright Red In 60 Seconds.

Read on for my personal experience …

There I am standing in a book store on Ben Yehuda browsing through the selection of penguin classics on sale (each for 15 shekels!!) in a circular white mesh container at the back of the shop feeling all intelligent and holding 3 of the books I wanted to buy.
Due to the mesh container thing being stupidly small for such a large collection, I made a neat pile of them all whilst browsing and ….suddenly… totally unexpectedly, the base of the white meshy thing collapsed and all the books made their descent to the floor with multiple thuds, one after the other.

End result…

Me standing by the mound feeling rather red faced apologising repeatedly to the assistant before scrabbling around on my hands and knees picking them up and helping the assistant return them the their stupid display case.

Moving on from my rather embarrassing moment, other news in my busy life….
I returned yesterday eve from my two day Jerusalem sweep exhausted, tired and sleepy ready to collapse into bed. Well, that’s what I thought anyway but somehow – for the sake of TV – I managed to stay awake until 2am before falling fast asleep waking up today at 1pm.

On Sunday, my and yael returned to Jerusalem to carry out our well structured plans to conquer all we still had to do before returning for good to shoresh. First on the list – shipping things home. – Completed with not too much trouble (see earlier post). Ben Yehuda – To find all the little things that make everyone so happy – again, no problems and a lotta fun! Malcha Mall - to shop shop shop – completed very very successfully (as well as freaking out an elderly lady in the supermarket when we had a moment of insanity about a box of cereal!). Then we headed back to my dorms where we were spending the night.
- let me be more specific. Spending the night in my pretty empty room with candles lit and music playing and chatting before saying bye to my friend who was flying home at 5am and then heading in a frenzy to the old city to the jewellery store Hadaya to get the discount (if ur the first customer there wen he opens at 5.30). we get there in a very hyper state and overly tired after having almost been awake for almost 24hours to find one girl. Yes, ONE GIRL ALREADY THERE. I am in no way bitter towards her. In no way what so ever did I want to drag her by the hair to a taxi, send her over the rainbow and get the leprechaun to drown her in the pot of gold.

After resisting temptations to hurt the girl we got our jewellery and went to visit the Kotel for a final goodbye at 7am and returned to my dorms at 8am. We encountered a rather bizarre group of jogging tourists at the Kotel who were jogging and being given a speed-tour of Jerusalem … was very strange but quite amusing.

We slept for a few hours when we got back and then left for another fun day out. We shipped some more of my stuff and then went shopping for things on Ben Yehuda. The rest of the day wasn’t so interesting – was just packing up my things and leaving sem for good.

Then headed back to shoresh and crashed out.

Me and yael have had a really relaxing chilled out day and are now bout to eat dinner and I don’t want to drop any tuna on her lovely lap top so gonna stop blabbing on now and eat…
