Update on My so-called Life

So I’ve reached my final weekend in Israel. What have I been up to? All the essentials in life – relaxing, sleeping, eating, sunbathing (though not getting especially brown unfortunately!) and discussing really random things with Yael – such as:

Yael: what’s the person called who puts the anaesthetic thing in?

Well, we were truly stumped and came up with some rather amusing suggestions, anaesthesiologist, anaestheticician, anaestheticiatiaologist!!!! And the list goes on.
Then we did realise the answer and our minds were put to rest.

Another profound moment that we had was when I was lying with my head hanging over the side of the couch, legs up against the wall and I came to the firm conclusion that “the world would be so different upside down.”

And, yet another example is whilst sitting on a wall outside the apartments waiting for a taxi, yael came out with a thoughtful question about how different life would be “if we had four legs instead of two … like a spider but less. Like if we had two at the front and then two at the back … y’know…” (then I chipped in) “Like the weird doll thing on toy story that the neighbour screwed up and stuck the dolls head on the spider body” …. I don’t think that we ever really came to a firm conclusion about this one.

Anyway, my time out here in shoresh has been really fun and ive really enjoyed it (so thanks Yael for putting up with my strangness and annoyingness and not kicking me out :p .. josh is really grateful, he told me so last night when I spoke to him!!!)

Still, not too excited bout my birthday next week – nothing really to do and no time really to sort something out but either way, its just another day in my life except that im officially another year older. Just think that this time 19years ago I was living a cosy life inside my mums womb!! – and then suddenly Sunday 29th june 1986 in the afternoon of the world cup final day (Argentina won) I arrived into the big scary world making it the best place ever!

Imagine what everyones lives would be like without me in it!? …. Such a strange thought.

The time is ticking and I still have an hour of decent sunbathing to do so im gonna go get into my bikini and fry myself in the warm Israeli sun. I love that feeling, when you’re lying out in the sun and you can feel your skin tingle as the rays cover every inch of your exposed skin. Mm…… sooooo relaxing!!
