Commuter Frenzy...
Have you ever sat on the tube in the mornings (or any other time of the day for that matter..) and been facing the platform watching people walking off into the distance up the stairs to their day ahead of them or others bounding down the stairs and successfully manage to get on the train before the doors ominously beep to announce the imminent closing. At that point, there are also people who dont make it and you, sat in the carriage, attempts to hide a smug smile when the person realises its just too late and they stop in their tracks and flap their arms in frustration.
Right. So im sure you all know what i mean.... infact, im pretty sure we have all been that person sprinting down the stairs bag flying behind, hair in disarray (if girl/guy with long hair) and just as you think you are going to make it, the doors beep repeatedly and swiftly slide shut blocking your entrance to train you had your heart set on getting.
Now think back.. when that was you, didnt you just aim for the open door closest to you? The one that you are more likely to get through before they shut? and not one the other end of the platform that means you will end up sprinting like a muppet and missing the train?
This is where my confusion with commuters lies. Why do they always run down the platform when the doors already start to beep to get on a carriage? whats wrong with the one closest to them?
I am on a quest to understand the madness going on in the brain of these commuters. If you have any ideas, please feel free to enlighten me!
My one theory is that they dont want to go to work so run down the platform to make it seem like theyre making an effort to get to work on time but they know they are going to miss it but would feel guilty if they just stood there and watched. I think that may be highly unlikely however coz thats a hell of a lot of effort for missing the train!!
Ok so yeh, thats all i wanted to share with you for now!! i have a lot more up my sleeve but ive had a very active day today (including activites such as being flung off a seesaw like on a catapult and injuring my leg :(..) and am all worn out so going to head off to do anything that doesnt involve the use of my brain!
Until the next pointless thought from me... so long.

I know why...ok let me break it dwn, u know how u dnt like sittin in the 1st carriage of the train, the same way some ppl dnt like the middle or end. even though they know the doors are gna close any min and they need 2 get on that train. they think they will make it so they try to but it ends in vain....simple silly Sophie!!! lol X x
simple silly sophie!? simple silly sophie wouldnt be as silly as those commuters coz if they doors were beeping at me i would just leap through at the nearest open door poss so i could get the train and if need be - change carriage at the next station!!! simple silly sophie not so silly anymore eh? .... simple silly vanisha for doubting sophies wonderfully intelligent self!
btw - you suck coz you're making me keep the prezzie right under my nose and im getting so worked up not being able to give it to you!
remember what its like to live in a place where subway doors dont beep- they just close with no warning whatsoever? oh wait, no...thats me. so stop complaining- i would kill for some beeping action.
haha!! your funny.
But you still suck loser :P
well, we shall decide in summer if the doors are as annoying as you say but i dont remember it that way ... oh wait... thats coz our train doors didnt close for a billion years until we decided to venture off to see what was happening!!! remember that?
hard to forget. i think they had it in for us. btw, thats the same line i have to ride to get anywhere. buts been ok to me. so i think that was nyc acting out against u.
ok, im partly taking back what i said- its just the 1 train that sucks. i tried others that are relatively ok. but NONE of them have cushions like the tube. so im still jelous.
